DESCRIPTION:ICE Out\, NO War for Oil Demonstration: Sat.\, Jan. 10\, Noon–1pm\, Courthouse Square sidewalk\, Delhi. (Note: this reflects a change of venue).\n\n\n\nThis gathering\, in solidarity with May Day Strong\, will protest Trump administration incursions into Venezuela and the murder of a US citizen by ICE in Minneapolis—uniting against a “reckless regime that occupies other countries and our cities on behalf of a handful of billionaires.”\n\n\n\nMay Day Strong is a broad progressive coalition of labor unions and community groups that is mobilizing nationwide protests on Saturday.\n\n\nCentral to these actions is a commitment to nonviolence. All participants are expected to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.\n\n\n\nPlease respect private property\, stay on the sidewalk and don’t obstruct pedestrians or vehicular traffic.\n\n\nWhile this is not a DCDC event\, we are helping to promote it.
