Riley, Ryan vote against funding ICE
KINGSTON, N.Y. — U.S. Reps. Pat Ryan and Josh Riley, both Democrats, voted this week against a bill funding the Department of Homeland Security, with colleagues concerned that it failed to restrain President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
Renee Good
DCDC Statement: Renee Good
The DCDC condemns the killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37 year old American citizen and mother of 3, by an ICE officer in Minneapolis. The fatal shooting of an American citizen in her residential neighborhood is the tragic result of ICE’s aggressive, chaotic and undisciplined attack on our communities in the name of immigration control and enforcement. We call on Senators Schumer and Gillibrand and Congressman Riley to step up, demand an investigation of ICE from top to bottom and slash the 73 billion dollars allocated for ICE in the OBBB.

Riley’s work on power affordability crisis
Rep. Josh Riley (D-NY), a freshman who represents New York’s 19th Congressional District, counts himself as the only member of Congress who has formally intervened in a rate case—that is, the legal process where regulated utilities request approval to increase, or otherwise modify, the cost of service. One such case involved Central Hudson Gas & Electric, which filed its application in August 2024.
