Hello Resisters!

Join us Sunday, June 28 at 1pm for DC Resisters. This week, The Delaware County Democratic Committee of New York State pleased to welcome Jillian O’Malior, an employer brand and workplace culture strategist with more than 14 years of experience helping organizations rethink leadership and attract the next generation of talent. As the founder of New World Labs, Jillian focuses on culture and labor market reform, in addition to employer branding.

What makes this conversation especially timely is Jillian’s recent, firsthand experience navigating today’s job market after an extended period of unemployment. Her perspective goes beyond theory—she brings a clear-eyed view of the realities facing job seekers right now, including how hiring has changed, which opportunities are growing or disappearing, and why younger generations are approaching work differently. For those of us in rural communities, where economic shifts can feel distant but have very real local impacts, Jillian offers valuable insight into the broader workforce trends shaping our economy and our future.

This promises to be a thoughtful and relevant discussion about the changing nature of work, the challenges facing today’s workforce, and what it all means for our communities.

DC Resisters are virtual rallies held via Zoom to discuss ways to resist. Rallies are held every alternate Sunday at 1pm. Registration required. Some weeks we have fascinating guests, other weeks, it’s a free discussion—it’s always an inspiring discussion about how we meet these challenging times. We welcome everyone to bring your perspectives, questions, and ideas for a thoughtful and engaging conversation.

Thank you for being a DC Resister. Your feedback helps define our direction forward. You make democracy work.
