On June 9, The Delaware County Democratic Committee voted to endorse Antonio Delgado for Lieutenant Governor of the State of New York in the June 28th Primary Election.
Mr. Delgado resigned from his Congressional seat representing NY 19 on May 25th when he was selected by Gov. Hochul to serve as her second in command for the remainder of 2021. He faces two other Democratic candidates in the June 28th contest.
Chair of the Delaware County Democratic Committee, Kathleen Hayek stated that Antonio Delgado has proven to be an effective legislator and skilled communicator.
“Throughout his time as our Congressman, Antonio focused on the needs of his constituents up and down his district. He’s brought resources to our farmers, our colleges and our workforce. He’ll bring the same energy and dedication to serve all New Yorkers as Lieutenant Governor. On behalf of the DCDC, I urge my fellow Democrats to get out and vote for Antonio.”
Both the Governor and Lt. Governor are on the primary ballot.
Early voting is available from June 18 – June 26 at the Delaware County Board of Elections, 3 Gallant Avenue, Delhi.
On June 28, the polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
