From Catskill Unity:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for signing on to the Catskills Unity solidarity statement! You might have done it three years ago when we first launched the messaging campaign or more recently, but in any case, we are writing to invite you, friends, and family to an ice cream social, hosted by Catskills Unity:

Friday, May 17, 5–7 pm
Delhi Courthouse Square
(Rain location: United Ministry, 1 Church Street, Delhi.)

Recently, we’ve been alarmed at the rising rhetoric against migrants, refugees, and marginalized communities (for instance, see Sheriff Dumond’s remarks in a recent Walton Reporter article). Catskills Unity decided it would be a great time to gather folks together to recommit to our shared values of mutual respect and care, over ice cream!

There will be free ice cream and vegan frozen dessert options, music and remarks, and sign-up tables for mutual-aid training sessions and meetups. There will be free Catskills Unity stickers, along with merchandise such as t-shirts and flags. (Rain location: United Ministry at 1 Church Street in Delhi.)

We look forward to seeing you on Friday, May 17, 5–7 pm!

Love and solidarity,
from the Catskills Unity Working Group:

Meagan Bennett, Krisy Gashler, Sunnie Joh, Quinn Kelley, Peter Kleeman, Perseveranda Madamba, Laura McClure, Carla Nordstrom, Gerry Gomez Pearlberg, Molly Yakusan Shapiro, Mina Takahashi, and Christina Hunt Wood.
