LONG BEFORE CANDIDATES TEXTED posted on social media or went on live TV to get their message out, they would stand on stumps and soapboxes in town, delivering speeches and speaking with voters about the issues of the day.

In the spirit of getting to know our local, state, and national democratic candidates better, we’re bringing the soapbox back in Middletown. Join Dems from neighboring towns and counties for talk, live music and to speak with your 2023 Democratic candidates, including:

GLEN FAULKNER, Middletown Supervisor
BRIAN SWEENEY, Middletown Town Council
ALANA SIEGEL, Middletown Town Clerk/Collector
JOHN BIRUK, Middletown Supeintendent of Highways

Admission is FREE. So are small cups of ice cream and toppings (while they last). Children welcome. Non Dem voters (Independents, Working Family, interested Republicans, Unaffiliated, etc… ) also welcome.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be available for purchase. Donations aren’t required to attend but are very much encouraged and appreciated. Your donations are what make efforts like these — and Blue Waves — possible.
