The DCDC is sorry to share the sad news that Janice Burdick passed on Saturday, January 20th. Janice Burdick was a wonderful woman and public servant. She was Delaware County’s “go-to” Democratic Election Commissioner for many years — honored as the DCDC Dinner Woman of the Year in 2009. Below is the page from that year’s dinner book.
Janice’s legacy is well represented by her daughter, Paula Schermerhorn, our current Delaware County Democratic Deputy Election Commissioner.
Services will be held Friday, January 26 at noon at the Bloomvile Methodist Church. A reception will be held at the Bloomville Fire Hall from 1-4pm.
