May 3 at 1pm is our next planned Zoom. Our scheduled guest will be Democratic candidate for NY State Senate District 102, Michele Frazier. All of Delaware County is in NY Senate District 51.
Michele brings a deep commitment to public service shaped by her roots in Oneonta, where she was born, raised, and elected to the City Council. During her time in office, she worked with colleagues to expand summer programming for working families, create a community dog park, improve energy efficiency to save taxpayer dollars, and make parks safer and more family-friendly. A former criminal justice professor and crisis intervention worker, and now a realtor, Michele has seen firsthand the challenges facing rural communities—from the housing shortage and lack of affordable internet to limited transportation and access to care.
As a parent of a child with autism, she understands the importance of strong community support systems and the urgent need to make services for children with disabilities and aging family members more accessible. After running in 2024 and continuing her advocacy across the district, Michele is now seeking to bring her experience and perspective to Albany, focused on strengthening rural economies, expanding opportunity, and ensuring that every family in the 51st District has the support they need to thrive.
