What would YOU do if you were us?
Web crawlers assess our eNewsletter based on the percentage of recipients who open it. When “opens” fall below a certain percent, we risk having web crawlers identify us as “Spam”—and into the dreaded Spam folder we go.
One Solution: Filtering.
If we filter our recipient list—send only to subscribers who open regularly—it improves our ranking. The down side? Folks complain that they’ve signed up but aren’t receiving dcDIGEST.
That’s our dilemma.
For 2026 we are testing a new approach.
We are sending the dcDIGEST to EVERYONE on our subscriber list once a quarter. In between, we are sending only to the filtered list of regular readers who open our emails.
So, don’t “get filtered”!
