DC Resisters are virtual rallies held via Zoom to discuss ways to resist. Rallies are held every alternate Sunday at 1pm. Registration required. Some weeks we have fascinating guests, other weeks, it’s a free discussion—it’s always an inspiring discussion about how we meet these challenging times.
August 31 Amy McDonald, podcast host and content creator (The Foolish Optimist) will be our special guest.
Amy and Delaware County Committee Chair Kathleen Hayek, will discuss Amy’s quest to promote progressive candidates, the current political landscape, and how Delaware County connects to larger state and national issues. Together, they will explore the challenges and opportunities facing grassroots movements, the importance of community engagement, and the role local voices play in shaping the future of democracy.
In a unique twist, the conversation between Amy and Kathleen continues beyond this event. On October 6, Amy will release a new episode of her podcast, The Foolish Optimist, where she steps back into the role of interviewer to feature Kathleen as her guest.
