Hello Resisters!

January 18 at 1pm is our next planned Zoom.

This week, we’re excited to welcome our featured guest: Dr. Miriam Lindner.

Dr. Lindner is a political and evolutionary psychologist who studies authoritarianism, violent extremism, and why people are drawn to dangerous ideologies. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Psychology from Aarhus University in Denmark and has taught at the University of Rhode Island and Harvard University. Her research explores how fear, threat, and group identity shape political behavior—and how those dynamics can be mobilized or resisted.

Beyond academia, Dr. Lindner is widely known for translating political psychology into clear, accessible insights online. Through short, research-grounded videos, she helps organizers and everyday citizens understand how authoritarian movements gain traction, how democracies erode, and what psychological resilience looks like in moments of political stress. Her work helps us make sense of the moment—and organize more effectively in response.

We hope you’ll join us. We welcome everyone to bring their perspectives, questions, and ideas for a thoughtful and engaging conversation.
