April 19 at 1pm is our next planned Zoom. Our scheduled guest will be Democratic candidate for NY State Assembly District 102, Janet Tweed.
You’ll want to hear this… the majority of towns in Delaware County are in AD102. It includes the towns of Bovina, Davenport, Delhi, Franklin, Hamden, Harpersfield, Kortright, Meredith, Roxbury, Stamford, and Walton in Delaware County. It also includes towns in Otsego, Schoharie, Albany and Green Counties.Click here to see a district map.
Janet was elected to the Delhi Town Board in 2017 and later appointed as a trustee to the Delhi Village Board in 2022, where she has contributed to initiatives in recreation, public safety, climate smart programs, and the completion of the Delhi Town Pool. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked full-time at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi while continuing her public service and doctoral studies. She remains active in local civic organizations and collaborative community efforts.
Janet is a dedicated physical therapist, wife, mother, and local elected official with extensive experience in both healthcare and community service. She earned a BS in Biology from Elizabethtown College, followed by BS and MS degrees in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica University in 2021, along with certification in lymphedema therapy. Licensed since 2006, she has worked in home health and rural healthcare settings across the Northeast, with a focus on the needs of rural upstate New York and evidence-based community health solutions.
