The DCDC condemns the killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37 year old American citizen and mother of 3, by an ICE officer in Minneapolis. The fatal shooting of an American citizen in her residential neighborhood is the tragic result of ICE’s aggressive, chaotic and undisciplined attack on our communities in the name of immigration control and enforcement. We call on Senators Schumer and Gillibrand and Congressman Riley to step up, demand an investigation of ICE from top to bottom and slash the 73 billion dollars allocated for ICE in the OBBB.

The trend is borne out by results in other states. After the recent Democratic gains in the New Jersey and Virginia governors’ races, there’s a jolt of optimism about the party’s prospects, even in traditionally Republican rural areas.
